The Mallesons Stephen Jaques Paper Presentation Competition will be starting soon.

Registrations are now open. You have until May 9th by 4pm(end of week 8).

The papers must be between 3000–5000 words.

The Paper presentation competition essentially involves individual competitors
researching and writing a formal legal essay on any topic of interest and then
presenting the paper orally to a panel of judges. The Written papers are marked
out of 40. And the oral presentations are marked out of 60.

Competitors must provide me with 3 hard-copies of their papers. Send them to the
FLSA Office.

If you'd like, you may submit a paper you have written for one of your
assignments.

There is essentially a Preliminary Round and a Grand Final. This will depend on
how many people register.

The winner goes to the National Paper Presentation Championship held at ALSA'S
annual July Conference.
