The role of the Careers Officer to provide students with assistance in ways that may help them to gain skills or knowledge in order to enter into their desired profession more successfully. Both the Flinders University of South Australia and the Flinders Law Students Association provide comprehensive resources and guides to assist in the process of applying for a job. The Alternative Law Careers Guide will encompass a comprehensive range of options for those who wish to use their qualification in a field other than conventional legal practice. The guide will focus on primarily four areas; Government, Commerce and Business, Academic and NGOs.
